Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 4 August 2026
These terms apply when you use the Acute Academy website, Moodle learning platform or Android app, create an account, purchase or enrol on a programme, or attend practical training. Please read them before paying. Statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
1. The contracting organisation
UK programme contracts are with Acute Academy CIC, company number 17327463, 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. Nigeria programme contracts are with Acute Renewable Technology Energy Ltd, Number 9 Gbajobi Street, Ikeja, Lagos. Both operate through the Acute Academy brand. Contact: info@acute.academy.
2. Programme information
The relevant programme page describes the curriculum, delivery method, price, inclusions, entry requirements and certificate. Please check that information before registering. Programme dates, practical locations and tutor allocation may change for operational reasons; we will give reasonable notice of material changes.
Unless a programme page expressly says otherwise, certificates are issued by Acute Academy after the stated completion, attendance and assessment requirements are met. A certificate is not a licence, professional registration or guarantee of employment.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate, current information and select the correct country and programme.
- You are responsible for keeping login details confidential and for activity on your account.
- Accounts and course content are personal and may not be shared, transferred, resold or used by another learner.
- Tell us promptly if your details or programme choice are incorrect.
- Learners under 18 may require consent and additional arrangements before enrolment or practical training.
4. Registration, references and payment
After registration, eligible learners receive a unique payment reference and the relevant bank details privately by email and on the student dashboard. Use that reference for payment. Do not rely on bank details sent from an unverified source.
A course adviser normally verifies a correctly referenced payment within one working day after it reaches the stated account. Delays may occur where a reference is missing, details do not match or further verification is reasonably required. Enrolment and course access are confirmed by email after verification.
Prices are shown in the currency stated on the relevant country or programme page. You are responsible for bank, currency-conversion or transfer charges unless we state otherwise. We will never ask you to publish bank details on the public website.
5. Access and acceptable use
Course access is provided for the period stated for the programme or, where no period is stated, for a reasonable period sufficient to complete the scheduled programme. Planned maintenance and circumstances outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.
You must not copy, record, scrape, distribute, sell, upload, reverse engineer or publicly share course content, assessments, credentials or personal information; interfere with security; introduce malicious code; harass staff or learners; or use the service unlawfully. We may suspend access while investigating serious misuse, fraud, safety concerns or non-payment.
6. Practical training, toolkit and PPE
Where the published fee includes practical-centre training, toolkit or personal protective equipment (PPE), those items are supplied or arranged subject to the programme schedule, successful completion of any required theory stage, safety rules, availability and reasonable sizing or collection arrangements. Learners must follow instructor directions, site rules and health-and-safety requirements.
Unsafe conduct, intoxication, harassment or serious rule breaches may result in removal from a practical session. A replacement session may carry a reasonable additional cost where the learner caused the missed or terminated session.
7. Assessments and certificates
You must complete the stated modules, assessments, attendance and practical requirements. Academic dishonesty, impersonation or falsification may lead to investigation, assessment cancellation or removal from the programme. We may correct administrative errors in results or certificates.
8. Employment and commercial outcomes
We provide education, assessment and employability support. We do not guarantee employment, income, contracts, visas, professional registration, project allocation or admission to any third-party organisation. References to installer or opportunity networks mean that eligible learners may be considered, subject to availability and separate requirements.
9. Cancellation, refunds and transfers
Our separate Refund, Cancellation and Transfer Policy forms part of these terms. It explains cooling-off rights, course-access deductions, practical-session changes and how to request a refund. Nothing in that policy removes mandatory consumer rights.
10. Intellectual property
Course materials, branding, videos, assessments, software and website content are owned by or licensed to Acute Academy. We grant enrolled learners a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the materials for their own study during authorised access.
11. Third-party services
The service may link to or use Moodle, email, video, Google Play, WhatsApp, banking and other third-party services. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, but we remain responsible for our obligations to you.
12. Liability
We do not exclude liability where exclusion is unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, loss of opportunity or loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by a learner, misuse of training, third-party failure or events outside our reasonable control.
Technical and practical training must be applied safely and within the learner’s competence and applicable legal requirements. Completion of training does not replace permits, supervision, professional registration or site-specific risk assessment where required.
13. Complaints
Email info@acute.academy with your full name, programme, student/payment reference and a clear description. We will acknowledge and investigate complaints within a reasonable time. Payment complaints should not include passwords or full banking credentials.
14. Governing law
UK programme contracts are governed by the laws of England and Wales, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Nigeria programme contracts are governed by applicable Nigerian law. The parties should first try to resolve disputes through the complaints process before court proceedings.
15. Changes
We may update these terms for legal, security or service reasons. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already accrued. The current version will be published with its effective date.
